on Born 17 December 1936, in Hamrun, Island Republic of Malta. Of a third generation Italian mother, and a Maltese father, a Merchant Navy Warrant Officer. Attended private preparatory school until 1945. Then the Hamrun primary. I was taught by Mr. Caruana, who taught me the rudiments of poetry. At 13.1/2 years I started at the St. Francis Priory in Valletta, preparing for the priesthood. 1 year later, I knew this was not my calling. I joined the Royal Navy, and found myself in Plymouth, England. After two years ashore on training, I was posted to sea going ships. Awarded a Medal and Bar, for service in Cyprus and The Suez Canal crises of 1956. On leaving, I joined the Merchant Navy as trainee purser. At the same time I was studying for certificates in various commercial subjects. My two years contract ended and I joined the unforgiving world of commerce. Finding myself in the City of London. In my spare time, I freelanced as photojournalist and have had much of my work published worldwide! I also lectured on photography at various Uk Clubs. I researched Anglo-Maltese wartime history, some of my scripts are with the Museums Department, in Vittoriosa, Malta. I worked for large American companies based in Europe. In time, I reached the position of Senior Commercial Traffic Manager. Between 1986-1994 I was managing director of both Ideal Freight Services and Dalesbury Associates, both limited companies. In 1995, the heavy and demanding workload, resulted in a heart attack, forcing me to retire from work. I am very keen on computers and 'meeting' people on the net. I would love to hear from you!!
